Course Structure:
Day 1:
- Tensegrity – How movement evolved on earth.
- Degeneracy – How movement devolves (in humans).
- The movement patterns of life on earth. (Flight is disregarded for this course.) As complex organisms, humans preserve previous patterns of movement as redundancies in case of emergencies. Humans can devolve their movement. But if they do it for too long, their risk of injury skyrockets.
- Patterns: Aquatic, Quadrupedal & Bipedal
Day 2:
- Tendon health – assessment and performance factors for connective tissue.
- Emphasis on: achilles, knee, hamstring, rotator cuff, labrum, and bicep.
- Year-round programming for healing and prevention.
- Special emphasis on shoulder, ankle, and foot.
